Pickleball Background:

Lucas is entering his second year in the CNPL and his third year competing at a high level in pickleball. Before finding the sport, he played a wide range of sports including hockey, golf, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. He first got into pickleball after his golf club added courts and he decided to give it a try.

Career Highlights:
Lucas has spent the past three years competing in Open-level events across Canada and has earned more than 10 Open gold medals on the Canadian circuit. In 2025, he helped lead his team to a third-place finish in the CNPL and delivered one of his standout performances by going 9–1 at the CNPL Toronto event. He was also voted the Male Players’ Choice MVP last season.

Off the Court:
Outside of pickleball, Lucas serves as the Executive Director of the London Down Syndrome Association. He enjoys spending time with friends, his wife Serena, and their dog Mikko. He’s also a fan of board games, card games, and reading.

Favourite post-tournament meal: pretty much anything - especially an entire pizza after not eating much during competition
